Refreshing Layered Sponge Cake (Cheesecake)

This quick and easy recipe can be used for any of Debbie's delicious Dessert Dip Mixes.  My personal favorite is to use both Creamsicle Cheesecake Dip Mix and Luscious Lime Cheesecake Dip Mix!  Yumm

Ingredients:

1 pkg Debbie's Dessert Dip Mix (your choice of flavor)      

2 oz  softened cream cheese                                                                      

16 oz frozen whipped topping (thawed)                                                           

1 angel food cake (store bought is perfect)                                                  

1 slice orange and lime (for garnish)


Prepare Debbie's Dessert Dip Mix as instructed on package. Let chill for approximately 1 hour. Cut your angel food cake into three layers. Place the bottom layer of cake on your serving platter. Spread a generous amount of Debbie's Dessert Dip Mix on top of that layer.

Place the second layer of cake on top of the dip mix. Spread more of Debbie's Dessert Dip Mix on that layer.

Place the third layer of cake on top of that dip mix.

You may use the remaining whipped topping to frost this cake or use a second flavor of Debbie's Dessert Dip Mix as the frosting. Place your orange and lime slices on top for garnish.  Chill for at least one hour before serving. Be sure to use a serrated knife when slicing this cake for your guests.   Enjoy!
